Bank reconciliation files, 1983-[ongoing].

"The Dept. of Mental Health and Mental Retardation Finance Division is responsible for coordinating and providing centralized accounting and financial services for the department." (1987-1988 Annual Report). The division uses this series to balance the bank statements and cancelled checks it receives. This series consists of printouts provided by banks to the department which list outstanding, voided, or paid checks drawn on the department's accounts. Also included are account reconciliation recap sheets, and printouts of checks generated by the division. Information available in these records includes check number, who the check was written for, date of check, and action taken on the check.
